As a Healthcare Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol hospital areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support patient, visitor, and staff needs through professional communication, assist with sensitive areas and situations, and may operate a vehicle as part of assigned duties. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.51 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Sun 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations involving patients, visitors, staff, and healthcare operations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, and surrounding property in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and facility information, and report unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, observations, and completed activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
