Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Hospital Service Patrol in Charleston, SC, to serve patients, visitors, and staff. This part-time role involves unarmed patrols, access control, and emergency response within a healthcare facility.

Responsibilities include reporting incidents, maintaining a visible security presence, and delivering excellent customer service. Vaccination, morgue work, and background checks are required. Pay is $20.00 per hour with a flexible night schedule.

Qualifications

• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Must have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check will be conducted as per laws.

• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations to supervisors and healthcare personnel.

• Mon: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Tue: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facility buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control activities, visitor direction, and monitoring of facility entry points in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and concerns to supervisors and designated healthcare personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Must have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
