Job summary

Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, is hiring a full-time Security Officer in Cleveland, OH. You will provide security for patients, visitors and staff, respond to incidents and emergencies, and patrol healthcare facilities to deter unauthorized activity.

The position requires patient interaction, adherence to hospital policies, and the ability to restrain individuals when necessary.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, and surrounding property to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with location procedures, reporting unusual conditions to Allied Universal leadership and location contacts.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and location contacts.

Job Schedule

• Mon: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be willing to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be willing to work in and around a hospital morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
