Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for Hospital Access Control in Highlands, NC. You will monitor hospital facilities, patrol areas, and support morgue-related procedures while delivering courteous service to patients, visitors, and staff.

As a Security Officer Hospital Access Control in Highlands, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Healthcare Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol hospital areas, helping to maintain a secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Responsibilities include routine patrols, access control, incident response, assisting with behavioral situations, and supporting morgue-related procedures. You will provide exceptional customer service and communication while working with a caring, agile, reliable, innovative team that acts with integrity.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $17.78 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Tue: 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Wed: 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations involving patients, visitors, staff, and healthcare operations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital buildings, grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Assist with access control, visitor management, and direction-giving while maintaining a professional and courteous presence.
• Document incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be able to work in and around a hospital morgue.
• Be able to restrain individuals when required.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
