Job summary

Allied Universal® is seeking a Part-Time Healthcare Security Officer for Hospital Morgue duties in Sterling, VA. You will monitor and patrol hospital areas, deter incidents, and deliver courteous service to patients, visitors, and staff while maintaining a secure environment.

Requirements include at least 1 year of security experience, ability to work in and around a hospital morgue, willingness to meet vaccination requirements, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical emergencies, and facility-related concerns.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the healthcare location, including entrances, parking areas, public spaces, and perimeter areas, as assigned.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, and report unusual activity or conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in alignment with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be willing to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Be able to work in and around a hospital morgue.
• Be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
• Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
