Allied Universal in Escondido, CA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to support hospital operations. This role involves patient, visitor, and staff screening, access control, and incident response in a healthcare setting.

You will build a reliable schedule using our Claim a Shift platform, with pay at $23 per hour. A valid driver's license and the ability to work in a hospital morgue may be required+

You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and help address security-related concerns, including sensitive areas and situations requiring intervention. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 06:30 AM - 03:00 PM
• Thur 10:30 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Screen patients, visitors, vendors, and staff in accordance with site entry requirements; verify authorization, provide directions, and communicate applicable visitor guidelines.
• Monitor access points and report unusual activity, prohibited items, or policy concerns to appropriate site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting additional assistance when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate screening, visitor, and incident documentation in accordance with site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Preferred ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Preferred comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
