Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer for Part Time Overnight Hospital Screening in Escondido, CA. You will screen visitors, monitor access points, and communicate clearly with patients, guests, and staff to maintain a safe healthcare environment.

The position offers a Part Time schedule with a pay rate of $27.00 per hour. Responsibilities include directing entrants, responding to incidents, and performing routine patrols while delivering excellent customer service in a hospital setting.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, screening protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen patients and visitors in accordance with healthcare facility access procedures, including directing individuals to appropriate entrances, check-in areas, and services.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity to help support an orderly healthcare environment and help deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entrances, waiting spaces, and surrounding perimeter areas, as required by site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be comfortable working in a hospital morgue.
• Be able to restrain individuals.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
