As an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a professional environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will respond to security-related situations, provide exceptional customer service and communication, and contribute to a caring culture through teamwork, integrity, reliability, agility, and innovation.

Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon02:30 PM - 11:00 PMFri06:30 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.


• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.


• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.


• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, verifying authorized access as directed, and providing directions or escorts when requested.


• Document observations, incidents, and activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be comfortable working in a hospital morgue.


• Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.


• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.


• Customer service experience is preferred.


• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
