Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Guard for Hospital Access Control in Escondido, CA. You will protect patients, staff, and visitors, monitor access points, and respond to incidents with professionalism while maintaining a calm, courteous presence.

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements: Must be comfortable working in a hospital morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support staff and visitors with professionalism, and respond to security-related concerns, including sensitive areas and situations involving individuals needing assistance. You will use strong communication and customer service skills while contributing to Allied Universal’s caring, reliable, and integrity-driven team.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies in a healthcare location.


• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established response protocols.


• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility interiors, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.


• Monitor access points and observe visitor, patient, and staff activity; report unusual conditions, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.


• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.


• Customer service experience is preferred.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
