Job Description

Allied Universal is now hiring full-time Security Officers for the Somers Point, NJ area.

Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, be able to walk long distances, be proficient with computers, and maintain a professional demeanor.

Work Schedule

Saturday, Sunday, Monday 4:00 pm - 12:00 am (Midnight); Tuesday, Wednesday 12:00 am - 8:00 am; Friday, Thursday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm; Sunday, Monday 4:00 pm - 12:00 am (Midnight).

Pay Rate: $16.48 / Hour

Responsibilities

• Observe and remain vigilant for signs of crime, disorder, hazard, and unusual activity.
• Patrol on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to check for unsafe conditions, security violations, and unauthorized individuals.
• De-escalate situations verbally and physically when necessary.
• Inspect all security devices and fire control equipment.
• Screen members, visitors, and employees for entry.
• Respond calmly to incidents such as fire, medical emergencies, bomb threats, etc.
• May include patient escort, patient watch, safety escort, and transport of deceased to morgue.

Minimum Requirements

• Experience in customer service, troubleshooting, or managing stressful situations.
• At least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• State/local licensing requirements may apply.
• Valid driver’s license for driving roles.
• Post-offer training and certification in Management of Aggressive Behavior.
