Job Description

As a Security Officer Highrise Office Building in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for tenants, visitors, and staff. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and report security-related concerns while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven values.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property personnel by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and maintain professional communication with tenants, vendors, and delivery personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate contacts according to site‑specific protocols.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs while supporting a professional, welcoming environment for occupants and guests.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 6 months of security‑related experience is required.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
