Hyatt Regency Phoenix is seeking a Security Officer to help create a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for guests, colleagues, and visitors. You will protect hotel assets, monitor safety operations, respond to emergencies, and deliver exceptional customer service, maintaining calm judgment under pressure.

The role emphasizes visible presence, professional conduct, and collaboration with emergency responders to ensure a secure property and outstanding guest experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in security, hospitality, or customer service is preferred.
• Excellent communication and guest service skills.
• Ability to stay calm and professional during emergencies.
• Strong observation, problem-solving, and report-writing abilities.
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with security systems.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible professional presence to promote safety.
• Conduct patrols of the property to identify safety concerns.
• Respond to emergencies, alarms, and security incidents.
• Investigate incidents and prepare detailed reports.
• Enforce hotel policies and applicable laws while remaining professional.
• Assist with lost-and-found procedures and guest belongings.
• Provide assistance and directions to guests and colleagues.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as needed.
• Monitor surveillance and security systems.
• Support hotel operations during events and high-occupancy periods.
• Collaborate with leadership to foster a culture of safety.
