Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring for a full-time front desk security officer in Indianapolis. The role involves acting as the first point of contact for tenants and visitors, enforcing site rules, and ensuring safe access to the building.

The position requires night shifts, a friendly, professional demeanor, and adherence to procedures. Pay is $21.00 per hour with benefits and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• 18+ years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Access control and badge experience preferred; CPR certification preferred.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and employees at a front desk in a commercial real estate location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Greet visitors, verify identification and access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor records in accordance with site requirements.
• Monitor access points, cameras, alarms, and communication systems from the front desk, reporting irregularities and security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, emergency situations, and requests for assistance in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following established response procedures.
• Maintain a professional front-desk presence, provide directions and general information, and support a welcoming environment for all building occupants and guests.

Minimum Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
