Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a graveyard hospital patrol in Pasadena, CA. This part-time role offers a flexible schedule and opportunities to contribute to patient and staff safety in a healthcare setting.

You will patrol, deter incidents, assist with access, and deliver excellent customer service while maintaining a visible presence throughout the facility and its surroundings.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies with calm, professional judgment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeters.
• Monitor access points and direct visitors, staff, and vendors.
• Document incidents and observations and communicate with site leadership.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical-related emergencies, disruptive behavior, and access concerns.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facility buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with directing visitors, staff, and vendors in accordance with site-specific access procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and/or irregularities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
