Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Hospital Patrol in Los Angeles, CA. You will patrol hospital facilities, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.

This full-time, unarmed role focuses on safety, accessibility, and a welcoming environment within a healthcare setting. The position requires Spanish fluency, at least 6 months of security experience, and ability to work a multi-shift schedule.

Qualifications

• Fluent in spoken and written Spanish.
• Minimum 6 months of security-related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Able to lift up to 20 pounds.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply in state/local law.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site‑specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facility buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or security‑related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site requirements, maintaining accurate logs and completing incident reports when required.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly environment by providing directions, supporting patient and visitor flow, and communicating observed concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Speak, read, and write fluent Spanish.
• Have at least 6 months of security‑related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Be able to lift up to 20 pounds, preferred.
• Possess a guard card or license, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
