Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Government Facility Control Access in New York, NY. You will safeguard government sites, monitor access points, perform patrols, and provide courteous service while following established procedures.

This full-time role requires NY Security Guard License, at least 1 year of security experience, and compliance with background checks and drug screening. Daytime shifts are available in a structured schedule with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public at a government office location by following site procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, entry points, public spaces, and the perimeter to identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations and follow site procedures for notifications and documentation.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity per site policies, reporting concerns and unauthorized activity.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and other documentation accurately and promptly.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government office location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, entry points, public spaces, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and follow established site procedures for notifications and documentation.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity in accordance with site policies, reporting access concerns and unauthorized activity to appropriate personnel.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and other documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
