Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Licensed Unarmed Patrol in New York, NY. You will monitor assigned areas, provide professional customer service, and deter incidents through visible presence and routine patrols.

Minimum requirements include a NYS Security Guard License, 1 year of security experience, high school diploma or equivalent, and passing background and drug screening.

Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Tue: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Wed: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Thur: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sat: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, staff, visitors, and individuals receiving services by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility areas, entrances, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures; verify authorization when required and direct individuals to appropriate areas or resources.
• Maintain a professional presence in a government human-services environment, using de-escalation techniques and respectful communication when interacting with diverse populations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
