Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff at a government services location by following site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout assigned interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe activity, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and contact appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear incident reports, daily activity logs, and shift documentation as required.

Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Thur 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Fri 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Sat 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sun 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff at a government services location by following site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout assigned interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe activity, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and shift documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
