Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is hiring a part-time Security Officer for a corporate bank tower in New York, NY. The role involves safeguarding a financial institution, monitoring access, patrolling, and delivering professional customer service to staff and visitors. Position Type: Part Time.

Pay Rate: $19.59 / Hour. Schedule includes daytime and evening shifts with various days.

Formación

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Allied Universal will run a background investigation as per federal, state and local laws.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local regulations.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of banking areas, offices, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and support visitor, employee, and contractor entry procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Document incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
