Allied Universal, Pooler, GA, is seeking a Security Officer - General Duty to safeguard clients at a logistics and distribution site. You will screen personnel and visitors, monitor access points, and perform routine patrols while delivering professional customer service.

Position is Full Time with pay rate $16.87 per hour. Responsibilities include screening, identification verification, incident response, and continuous visibility to deter incidents.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background investigation and drug screen required.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel at a logistics and distribution location by following security procedures and site policies.
• Screen individuals, vehicles, packages, and deliveries entering or leaving the facility per access-control procedures.
• Verify identification, credentials, shipping documentation, and authorization for access to designated areas.
• Respond to incidents and concerns calmly and document observations for notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, parking areas, trailers, and the facility perimeter to identify unusual activity or conditions.

• Mon 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sat 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sun 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screen individuals, vehicles, packages, and deliveries entering or leaving the facility in accordance with established access-control procedures.
• Verify identification, credentials, shipping documentation, and authorization for access to designated areas.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, parking areas, trailers, and the facility perimeter to help identify unusual activity or conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
