Job summary

Delaware North Gaming is seeking a Security Officer (part-time and full-time) for Gate City Casino in Nashua, New Hampshire. The role ensures a safe guest and team member environment with duties including ID checks, escorts, patrols, and incident reporting.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and state gaming license; prior security/military experience is a plus. The position offers weekly pay, training opportunities, and benefits with flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of guests, employees, and assets.
• Patrol all areas of the property.

• Assist guests and staff during emergencies and evacuations.
• Respond to calls calmly and coordinate with authorities.

The opportunity

Delaware North Gaming is hiring a part-time & full time Security Officer to join our team at Gate City Casino in Nashua, New Hampshire. As a Security Guard, you will ensure a safe and secure environment for our guests and team members. Part-time: Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays 11:00pm‑7:00am. Starting rate is $22 per hour for differential.

Pay

$20.00 - $24.00 / hour

What will you do?

• Ensure that identification is checked for proper admittance to the gaming floor
• Conduct cash escorts as required
• Observe, handle, and report procedural violations and illegal activity
• Operate a motorized vehicle when necessary
• Maintain crowd control as required
• Defuse guest profanity and handle issues or complaints professionally
• Ensure the safety and security of guests, employees and company assets of the property
• Patrol all areas of the property
• Monitor for suspicious activity, unauthorized behavior, and safety hazards
• Assist guests/employees during emergencies, evacuations and/or medical incidents
• Respond to calls for service, accidents, violations of NH and/or Federal Law and gaming laws, rules and regulations in a calm and professional manner
• De‑escalate conflicts using verbal and non‑verbal techniques
• Complete accurate, complete and detailed incident reports, security logs and daily activity reports
• Secure evidence when needed and coordinate with local law enforcement

More About You

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
• Must be able to be licensed by State Gaming Commission
• Ability to defuse difficult and sometimes emotionally charged situations when handling guest issues or complaints
• Ability to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Prior law enforcement, security or military experience preferred; hospitality/customer service experience a plus
• Clear a criminal background check
• Strong verbal communication, observation and report writing skills (must be able to document incidents via the use of a computer)
• Administer medical assistance to guests and employees once certified in CPR/First‑Aid/AED/BBP by the employee

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to communicate through two‑way radio
• Bending, stooping, lifting and carrying occasionally
• Vision sufficient to perform duties day or night
• Exposure to an occasionally smoky and loud environment
