Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and drivers while carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen packages, shipments, personnel, and/or vehicles per site procedures and screening protocols.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry to support controlled movement throughout the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter.

As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by screening personnel, packages, and materials, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $17.33 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Tue 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or drivers while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen packages, shipments, personnel, and/or vehicles in accordance with site procedures and applicable screening protocols.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry to support controlled movement throughout the distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity or conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
