Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Alarm Monitoring in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will monitor and patrol commercial real estate and healthcare locations, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to alarms, communicate professionally with visitors and staff, and provide exceptional customer service. Pay Rate: $18.40 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.


• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of commercial real estate and healthcare locations, including buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas, to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.


• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, maintaining a professional and welcoming presence.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical-related situations, and critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.


• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and completed activities through clear and accurate reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.


• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.


• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.


• A guard card or license is preferred.


• Loss prevention experience is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
