Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Routine Patrol in Honolulu, HI. You will protect clients across Education and related settings by patrolling, maintaining a visible presence, and assisting students, faculty, staff, and visitors with a professional, courteous demeanor.

The role requires responding to incidents, monitoring access points, and maintaining detailed incident reports.

Qualifications

• License in security is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check conducted as per federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screening required as a condition of employment where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff and visitors while following site procedures and emergency protocols.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of campus facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to deter incidents.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies calmly and in accordance with established protocols.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity; report hazards and concerns to relevant personnel.
• Document patrol activities and incidents with accurate reports and maintain professional communication with the campus community.

What'll You Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency services.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting suspicious conditions, hazards, and policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations through accurate reports and maintain professional communication with the campus community.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
