Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting campus resources and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking locations, walkways, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents according to site procedures.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation with clear, accurate information.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
