Job summary

Allied Universal in Honolulu, HI is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time, Unarmed) to patrol and protect commercial properties, greet tenants, visitors, and staff, and document observations using our security systems.

You will perform routine patrols, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and generate clear reports. Prior customer service is preferred, and a HS diploma is required.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen may be required by law.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and contractor activity, and assist with adherence to site entry procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports related to incidents, patrol activity, maintenance concerns, and other property-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
