Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Perimeter Patrol in Allentown, PA. You will monitor residential locations, deter incidents, support access control, and respond to alarms while delivering excellent customer service with integrity.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Perimeter Patrol in Allentown, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a residential care location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and respond to alarms and resident or visitor needs. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while working with a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative Allied Universal team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Candidates must meet at least one of the following experience criteria:

• Law Enforcement Experience:A minimum of 1 year of experience in law enforcement.
• Security Supervisor/Manager Experience:A minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the security field.
• Security Experience:A minimum of 3 years of experience in a security-related position.

In addition to the experience criteria, candidates must possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Access Control/Badge Experience (B201):Familiarity with access control systems and badge issuance processes.
• Alarm Panel Experience (B202):Experience in monitoring and responding to alarm systems.
• Computer/Tablet Proficiency (B204):Comfort and proficiency in using computers or tablets for daily tasks and reporting.
• Customer Service Experience (B219):Demonstrated experience in providing excellent customer service, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, reporting unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
