Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Guard Card Required in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to evolving situations. This driving post offers the opportunity to provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity and delivers through teamwork.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed – 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Fri – 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat – 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, government facility policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following applicable laws, policies, and post orders.
• Monitor access points and check credentials as directed; document visitor activity, incidents, and daily observations in required reports.
• Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and carry authorized firearms in accordance with applicable laws, Allied Universal policies, and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
