Allied Universal in New York seeks a Security Officer for a full-time unarmed patrol at a media/entertainment site in Long Island City. You will provide customer service, monitor access, perform patrols, and respond to incidents with professional calm.

This role emphasizes reliability, clear communication, and visible presence to deter incidents while maintaining a welcoming environment for employees and visitors.

Competenze

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic media and technology location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Tue: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Wed: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sat: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to guests, employees, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and emergency response activities at a media and entertainment location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, production-related areas, offices, common spaces, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, and assist with visitor management and delivery procedures in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence in a dynamic, high-visibility environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
