Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, tenants, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail and mall areas, including entrances, common areas, loading zones, parking areas, and the perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe activity within assigned areas, and report unusual conditions, policy violations, hazards, or incidents according to location procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence and supporting a welcoming environment.

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for shoppers, employees, and visitors. What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
