Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Afternoon Shift in Austin, TX. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, deter unauthorized activity, and deliver excellent customer service while documenting observations.

This Full Time role includes daily afternoon shifts and on-site duties, with opportunities for growth through training and promotion.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, team members, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with store leadership and emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, receiving areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity within the location, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy concerns according to established procedures.
• Complete required incident reports, patrol logs, and other documentation accurately and promptly.
