Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Observation in Nashville, TN. You will safeguard clients, monitor entrances, and deliver exceptional customer service at a government location.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will conduct interior and exterior patrols, verify access, report incidents, and respond to emergencies with calm, professional conduct.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors at a government location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas to identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry; document visitor activity and patrol observations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner; notify appropriate contacts or emergency responders.
• Maintain a professional presence while protecting government property, personnel, and operations.

• Fri: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors at a government location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including building entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site policies; document visitor activity, incidents, and/or patrol observations using required reporting tools.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed by procedures.
• Maintain a professional presence while assisting with the protection of government property, personnel, and operations in alignment with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
