Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Field Documentation in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a public school environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide welcoming customer service to students, staff, and visitors. You will communicate clearly, respond to concerns, and support daily operations with integrity. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with school district procedures, providing directions and assistance while maintaining a professional presence.
• Respond to incidents, student-related concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate school personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for incidents, patrols, and other security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
