Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for full-time unarmed patrol at a government education location in Ashburn, VA. You will monitor facilities, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service to students, staff and visitors while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor.

In this role, you will be responsible for routine patrols, monitoring access points, responding to incidents, and documenting observations.

Qualifications

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Computer Reporting in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a government education location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity. What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and other individuals by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, support campus access-control procedures, and report unauthorized entry or suspicious behavior.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately; communicate relevant information to school personnel, Allied Universal leadership, and emergency responders as directed.

Minimum Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
