Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol Driver) for Santa Ana, CA. This full-time role includes patrolling commercial real estate locations, monitoring access, and providing exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors.

A valid driver’s license is required, and you will work a fixed daytime schedule with consistent shifts. You will deter security incidents, respond calmly to incidents, and communicate clearly with contacts.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• A valid driver’s license is required per policy.
• Guard card/license preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may be required by local laws.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate contacts as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, documenting incidents, unusual conditions, and/or policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain a professional presence while providing directions, answering questions, and reporting maintenance, facility, and security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
