Job summary

Allied Universal in Montgomery, AL is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Driver to protect clients across commercial real estate sites. You will conduct vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence, and deliver professional customer service while upholding Allied Universal’s values.

This driving role requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to document security activities, respond to incidents, and communicate clearly with tenants, visitors, and property

Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience required.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background checks and drug screening will be conducted.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles (21+ for armed).

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff while performing security procedures.
• Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, professional manner per procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, parking, entrances and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious conditions or maintenance issues.
• Complete daily activity, incident, and shift reports as required.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Driver in Montgomery, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally, and document security-related activities while reflecting Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial office buildings, parking areas, common areas, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, tenant, and vendor activity; report suspicious conditions, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
