Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Montgomery, AL to provide courteous customer service, deter incidents, and protect tenants and visitors at a commercial real estate location.

You will perform routine patrols, monitor access points, document observations, and report through our incident reporting process while working a Sat/Sun night schedule and earning a competitive hourly wage.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate contacts as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.30 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• At this site, there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
