Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Driver Compliance in Redwood City, CA. You will patrol campus areas, deter incidents, and provide outstanding service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors, maintaining a welcoming campus environment.

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Subject to background investigation and drug screen as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas; report maintenance issues, hazards, and unusual conditions.
• Prepare clear and accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff information in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Driver Compliance in Redwood City, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a dynamic university location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming campus environment. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with students, staff, and visitors, and respond to security-related needs with integrity, teamwork, reliability, and care.

What You'll Do:

• Respond to incidents, alarms, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas; report maintenance issues, hazards, and unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff information in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
