Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology-focused site while following security procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, documenting observations per site procedures.
• Perform regular foot and vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, and entry points to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and support visitor and employee access procedures per site requirements.
• Complete and file incident reports and shift documentation accurately and promptly.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Driver in Bessemer, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading technology location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to alarms and security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $17.46 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM
• Tue: 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM
• Wed: 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM
• Sun: 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and report concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and support visitor, employee, and delivery access procedures in accordance with site requirements.
• Complete required activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation accurately and promptly.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
