Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Driver Patrol Communications in Bessemer, AL. You will provide security, patrol facilities, monitor access, and respond to incidents while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, comfort with computers/tablets, and CPR/First Aid certification is preferred. This is a part-time position with a 17.46 USD/hour pay rate and scheduled daytime shifts.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen may be required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of technology-focused facilities, office spaces, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations accurately in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
