Job summary

Allied Universal in Bessemer, AL is seeking a Security Officer for Full Time Asset Protection Patrol. You will monitor and safeguard client sites, deter security incidents, support access control, and deliver professional customer service to employees and visitors.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent; willingness to undergo background checks and a drug screen; valid driver's license for driving positions. CPR is preferred, and comfort with computers or tablets is helpful.

Qualifications

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and/or delivery personnel at a technology-focused corporate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and contractor activity in accordance with site procedures; report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and patrol documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Asset Protection Patrol in Bessemer, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors while using technology to document activity. Pay Rate: $17.46 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Wed 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Thur 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
