Job summary

Allied Universal in Whittier, CA is seeking a Security Officer for Full Time Unarmed Patrol Awareness at a memorial park and cultural institution location. You will provide welcoming customer service while monitoring facilities and responding to incidents to maintain a safe environment.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will conduct regular patrols, assist with access control, and report incidents according to site procedures.

Qualifications

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of grounds, buildings, parking areas, pathways, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Assist with access control, visitor directions, traffic flow, and parking support during services, events, and periods of increased visitation.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and report security-related issues according to site-specific procedures.
