Qualifications

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, families, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout memorial grounds, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify unusual activity and conditions requiring attention.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner, following site procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe activity to maintain orderly operations during services, events, and daily visitor hours.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations in accordance with Allied Universal reporting requirements.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Licensed Patrol Driver in Whittier, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a cultural institution, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. This driving post requires a valid driver's license. What You'll Do:

• Document patrols, incidents, and observations in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting requirements.

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
