Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Assistance in Falls Church, VA. You will patrol healthcare facilities, provide customer service to patients and staff, and maintain a visible security presence to deter incidents.

The role requires strong communication, integrity, and teamwork while delivering a welcoming environment for patients and visitors. Shifts include evenings and overnight hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required.
• 18+ for unarmed, 21+ for armed roles.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors following site policies and emergency procedures in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials; report unusual conditions or violations.
• Complete required activity reports and incident documentation accurately.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete required activity reports and incident documentation accurately and in accordance with Allied Universal and site‑specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
