Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Technology Support for a healthcare environment in Fredericksburg, VA. You will provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors, conduct routine patrols, and monitor access points to deter incidents and ensure safety.

As a full-time role with a pay rate of $18.00 per hour, you will support a welcoming environment and respond to emergencies, reporting observations and incidents to site leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 18+ years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Background check required by federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disruptive behavior, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as assigned, and report security-related incidents or unusual conditions to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
• Document observations, patrols, and incident details accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
