Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Unarmed) in Houston, TX, to protect clients across various industries, with a focus on healthcare locations. You will perform routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.

The role is full-time with a daytime schedule and a starting pay rate of $15.95 per hour. You will respond to incidents calmly, document activities, and uphold site policies while supporting a welcoming

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility interiors, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and assist with directing individuals to appropriate departments or services.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
