Job summary

Allied Universal in Washington, DC seeks a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Access Control to safeguard clients across Tech/Media/Telecom locations. You will monitor and patrol, assist with access control and badge processes, and deliver excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control/badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials, and report unauthorized persons or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations following emergency procedures.
• Prepare accurate activity reports and maintain clear communication with site contacts and leadership.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Access Control in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, support access control and badge processes, and help to deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized persons, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Prepare accurate activity reports and maintain clear communication with site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
