Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time, Unarmed) in Washington, DC. You will patrol transportation locations, ensure a welcoming environment, and provide professional customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff.

Strong communication and rapid incident response are essential. Minimum requirements include at least one year of security experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

• Monitor access points and report suspicious conditions or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with crowd-management during peak travel periods and special events.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Incident Response in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a transportation-focused government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor assigned areas, and support a welcoming environment for passengers, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. Pay Rate: $24.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot or vehicle patrols of station areas, platforms, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with crowd-management activities during peak travel periods, service disruptions, special events, and emergency situations.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
