Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a full-time Unarmed Patrol Loss Prevention officer in New York, NY. You will monitor assigned areas, deter incidents, support access control, and deliver excellent customer service.

As a Patrol Officer, you will communicate professionally with guests and team members, respond to routine concerns, and document incidents for leadership and management review.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include loss prevention experience and customer service background.
• State, county, or city-issued security license preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, team members, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and location policies.
• Respond to incidents and concerns in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular patrols of the store, entryways, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observed activity to deter unauthorized behavior and report issues.
• Document incidents and patrol activities and communicate to leadership.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Loss Prevention in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with guests, team members, and leadership while responding to routine concerns with integrity, reliability, and a people-first approach. Pay Rate: $19.48 / Hour

• Mon 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Tue 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Wed 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Thur 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sun 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to customers, team members, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail store, entryways, parking areas, loading areas, and surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized behavior.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity while supporting loss prevention efforts and reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and location management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
