Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol in Atlantic City, NJ. You will provide customer service, monitor key areas, conduct patrols, and maintain a visible security presence to deter incidents while supporting a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

The role requires on-site work with a daytime to overnight schedule; CPR/First Aid and security licensure are preferred.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• As a condition of employment, background check and drug screen are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while following site-specific security procedures.
• Conduct regular and randomized unarmed patrols within the healthcare location, including interiors, parking, entrances, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; report suspicious activity or unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and emergencies calmly and professionally; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications per site procedures.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the healthcare location, including interior areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, report suspicious activity or unauthorized access, and help to deter prohibited conduct.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document observations.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
